OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) is self-emissive technology.
Unlike local dimming technology in LCD, the pixel dimming technology in OLED also enables
each pixel to control its brightness independently from other pixel, showcasing perfect picture quality without a halo.

No Backlight

The self-emissive OLED is slim and light as it does not require a backlight,
liquid crystals, color filters, or other structural components.

LCD

  • BLU(Back Light Unit) is a lighting unit that distributes light evenly across an LCD panel.
  • POL(Polarizer) is a film that filters white light from the backlight unit, adjusting the direction of the light.
  • CELL is a small individual panel cut out to an appropriate size for the product.

OLED

  • Film(Anti Reflection Film) is attached to enhance visibility and resolution.
  • TFT(Thin Film Transistor) acts as a switch to turn individual light-emitting pixels on and off.

    OLED(Organic Light-Emitting Diode) is a self-luminous electronic circuit element that uses light generated by the energy loss of an exciton after each electron and hole.
  • Encap(Encapsulation Technology) protects organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) from shock, moisture, and impurities.

Principle of OLED Self-lighting

OLED is an organic light emitting diode that lights up in response to an electric current.
The hole(+) and electron(-) injected from the anode and cathode recombine in the emissive layer to form an exciton and illuminate.
